Computing Services

A variety of computer resources are available to you as an Evans School Master of Public Administration (MPA) or Ph.D. in Public Policy and Management student.

Our computer lab in Parrington 102 has the necessary tools for you to do everything from creating spreadsheets to analyzing statistics. Lab hardware and software includes:

  • 20 PCs with:
    • Microsoft Office
    • Adobe suite
    • ArcGIS
    • Dreamweaver
    • EndNote
    • SPSS
    • Stata
    • Crystal Ball
  • One photocopier, scanner, and color printer
  • Two black and white printers
  • Online lab equipment reservation system (UWNetID Required)
  • Lab hours can vary depending the availability of volunteers and student workers, but the general schedule is as follows:

    • Monday–Thursday: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
    • Friday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Saturday: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Sunday: 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
    • Closed during quarter breaks and university holidays

    Lab volunteers can help you with:

    • Printing and copying issues
    • Putting money on your printing account
    • Buying supplies
    • Reserving equipment
    • Answering basic computer software questions
    • Directing you to outside help for computer hardware problems
